Maintenance of water bars

A result of Saturday’s annual road workday at West Carry Pond were four new water bars installed and the existing ones cleaned. Now we need to do our best to keep them in working order.

Diverting runoff from the road before it erodes the road surface saves gravel and saving gravel saves money. Dollars that can go toward maintaining other sections of our roads. Thanks to Norm, Walter, David, Paul, and Gene being willing to clean the gravel from behind rubber water bars as needed to keep them functioning as designed.

Also, it would be helpful if pickup trucks used 4-wheel drive going up the Spring Road hill and the hill from the pond to help reduce washboarding and filling the water bars with gravel.
