The following is the body of a letter sent to the Flagstaff Lake Home Owners Association in regards to snowmobiling on Weyerhaeuser lands. This may be of interest to CPA members who snowmobile.
.......... follow up on the snowmobile exemption issue. Our new signs do indicate no snowmobiling off trail. The intent is to allow enforcement of “bad actors” who are reckless or abuse the land base. We have had snowmobilers destroy our young seedlings, ride over active log piles and other unsafe and destructive actions across the ownership. It is not intended for the snowmobiler who is out riding the roads, looking for sheds or rabbit hunting. The public can snowmobile on unplowed roads if done with respect to the land and in a safe manner.
