Missing Locks and Pins

To: Members of the Carry Ponds Association

The past months, several sets of locks and pins have been taken from the Otter Pond Gate.  This is the gate beyond the gravel pit off the Otter Pond Road that leads to the outlet of Otter Pond.

The decision has been made not to put another CPA lock and pin on this gate at this time just to have it stolen. A non CPA lock has been temporally installed in its place.

The CPA Board will discuss this issue in the spring and develop a plan on how to address the problem.

Obviously, someone has obtained a CPA key, and for whatever reason feels it is necessary to take the pins and locks.  Our gates help provide a degree of security for all CPA members from thief and vandalism. Leaving the gates open makes us all more vulnerable.

Thank you,

Walter Purda, President CPA
